The Wizard of Frobozz

Zork II: The Wizard of Frobozz is the second chapter in the original trilogy of the Zork series.  In this game you have to take on and outsmart a Dragon, a Unicorn, and most of all The Wizard of Frobozz himself.  

This game continues from the end of the story of Zork I: The Great Underground Empire, as they were once upon a time, a part of the same giant Zorkian Adventure.

You start this game inside the Stone Barrow that you discover and enter after completing the tasks of the first game, discovering the Twenty lost treasures of Quendor, and finding the map in the Trophy case that points you in the correct direction.

This is the first game to sport the ever-popular Moss of Mareilon, as it creates the glow from the ceiling high above in the first few rooms.

These simple words began the second phase of the stalwart adventurer's journey to discover his destiny.

Tips from the Saint

Keep everything you find.  Although there are more useless items in this game than the others, There is almost always a reason for something to be used in the game.

Pay close attention to your surroundings. Keep "Look"ing every time you enter an area.  Sometimes something has changed, but it doesn't show up on the area description. (Especially if you have the game set on Super Brief descriptions)

Talk to every person you come across in this game, there isn't anybody in the game that doesn't have a purpose.

If you die, pay close attention to the glass rooms you walk through after death, they are a key part of the story.

Keep trying.  Some of the hardest puzzles in the series take place in this second game.  I assure you though, ever puzzle has a solution.  It's just that sometimes it's not the most obvious one.  (I.E. The Baseball Puzzle)
